This last August I spent a week in the heat of the Sierra Nevada's with my husband and our good friend. When I pulled my tag for Mule Deer for the archery season, I was ecstatic to say the least. If you've ever been archery hunting, then you know that it can be grueling, exhausting and brutal. It tests your mental and physical strength, your limits and pushes you. The deer a riffle hunter will hit at 100-400 yards I would not take a shot at over 50, sure I could push 60, but I fully trust my abilities at 50. I hiked 5 miles into the wilderness in 95° Nevada desert heat, being utterly not physically fit enough to do so. Now, I'm not unable to hike, but this was a whole new ball game that I was just not ready for. I stopped, I cried, I drug my feet, I got heat exhaustion and couldn't hunt for nearly 24 hours. But I did it, I pushed myself. I now have the knowledge of that area, my limits, and real-world deer hunting in my arsenal.
So aside from the amazing time that I had last summer, I also had quite a hard time finding women's hunting clothes and gear. Now I do not mind wearing men's stuff when needed, I just feel like not everything that works for men works for women. Part of my reason for wanting to write this blog is to show what I found that worked for me and what I continue to find that works in the future.

It is a Bowtech Carbon Rose, weight is less 3.2 pounds bare, 30" axle to axle, 302 FPS, and goes down to 22.5 inches. I highly recommend this bow; I'm not sponsored or anything I just really enjoy shooting it.
